Cygryl thanks the messenger offering him 2 silver peices for his troubles. He opens the letter scanning it's contents quietly before grabbing a few items and heading out from the inn. He walks briskly to the dukes estate and nods to the guards the letter in hand.
The guards take the letter, examine it and then wave you inside. Once inside, more guards tell you to leave your weapons here with them. You are then escorted to the Duke's study, where you find him sitting behind a large desk. He has many documents and books splayed out before him and he is writing something. He finishes whatever he is writing before he acknowledges your presence.
"Ah, Cygryl. It has been a very long time since we have seen each other. Please have a seat. I trust you have news for me about this supposed noble?"
None as yet. At the appointed time he was supposed to arrive in Shallowford during their last market day's a vampire arrived and caused a bit of havock. I know not yet if this was related to this matter or not. I have been researching at the library in an effort to confirm his status but as yet have turned up nothing which did bring up another line of inquiry.
He pauses a moment before continuing.
I have heard that this creature Juju has access to the circles in Lochling. Do we know how he gained such a feat? Even during my tenure as a member of the guilds I was not permitted investiture in the main guild halls circles. Is it possible someone of sufficient status or rank was able to aid in this task?
Duke Ginar looks at you over his crowded desk but his countenance is impossible to read.
"As I understand it, since I was not there to witness, several "adventurers" helped supply the goblinoid forces and were instrumental in Juju's training in the magical arts. "Adventurers" were also responsible for helping his forces take Lochling and the circles were brought down. New ones have since been erected by him. This is not the topic I brought you here to discuss. Did you at least bring me the items you have recovered thus far?"
Unfortunately I have not had a chance to collect them from Goodman Kalyndil as he departed the area before I could do so. I was also informed by Trilock who is currently mayor of Shallowford as well as Goodman Griff a private of the Akliceum army that the items were being held securely and would not be given to anyone even with a claim of recovering for your grace.
Unfortunately as I was just my word that I was doing so in your name it is hard for others to trust a Gadabari.
