In the hours after the last rays of light leave ShallowFord, much movement can be heard and seen from the manor of the newly elected mayor. Dozens of fine Dwarven craftsmen stream out the manor house all of whom are loaded down with supplies of brick and mud. They can be seen returning to the manor house many times over the night each time returning with more brick. Over the course of one night the dwarves complete what is to be the northern wall around the new ShallowFord. The wall created is just over a foot thick at the bottom tapered to the top which is eight inches wide and a steady six feet tall along its nearly eleven hundred feet length.

As the first rays of light rise vanquishing the second night of work for the Dwarven craftsmen the newly created eastern wall is in place connecting to the northern wall and matching it in dimensions. The tired workers return to the safety of the manor for a well earned day of rest.

Much Time has passed since the second section of wall was completed. On this night the dwarves emerge once more to complete the western wall. Now only the southern path does not have a wall. One more night of work and the additions promised by the new town mayor will be completed.

On this the last night of work for the skilled team of Dwarves they quickly construct the southern wall complete with a "Finely" made wooden gate. The gate is located very close to the south western most corner on the southern wall. It is a full ten feet wide consisting of two wooden doors.

The work being done has not gone unnoticed by someone else who works mostly at night. Lately Diz has been making notes about the wall that the masterful dwarves have been constructing. Not so much as errors in craftmanship because well.... everyone knows of the skill of dwarves at masonry and stone work. But still. Even a wall that is tall for a dwarf can be easily scaled by a human sized being. No, Diz has been mapping escape routes....

So the Mayor came through. I just hope he doesn't start taxing the citizens beyond what they can bear.

"Pfff! Taxes....." Diz almost laughs right at the person. Then he thinks to himself. Who the heck walks around at night talking about the mayor and taxes?
